Schumann Resonance Live — Sources & Methodology
This observatory is an educational data display, not a medical or predictive service. We show the source, time and limits of each panel so that a bright image is not mistaken for a global change in frequency.
Data sources and what is measured
The sonogram follows the public SOS-70/Tomsk Space Observing System format and identifies the source frame time when available. Space-weather panels use operational NOAA SWPC products. The SR1–SR5 series shown in the interactive charts is a browser-rendered model around published nominal modes; it is not presented as a single official global real-time Schumann feed.

How to read a chart
A spectrogram plots frequency against time and uses brightness for relative signal power on that instrument scale. Horizontal bands near the known modes can be consistent with resonance structure. A vertical whiteout may be local lightning, interference, saturation or a data problem. Missing or stale frames are labeled rather than silently treated as a global event.
Limits, corrections and licensing
A frequency value near 7.83 Hz is a nominal reference, not a permanent planetary constant. Kp measures geomagnetic disturbance and is not the same phenomenon as Schumann resonance. The site does not diagnose health, mood, sleep or consciousness and does not make wellness claims. Corrections to source, timestamps or interpretation can be reported through the site owner; the public API is offered as CC0 where stated.
